I found these pretty images on the indulgy website, which I had never heard of until today. There's so many things to take inspiration from, I found loads of shabby-chic photos. I love searching the web for things which give me great ideas about the type of things that I could acheive in my own home.

I also love monthly home magazines, my favorite being Your Home, as it mostly features homes which are not too pretentious or "perfect"!

That's what I love most about the shabby chic style; things don't have to be perfect, over styled or stupidly expensive.  Furniture is allowed to look aged or knocked about and it still be beautiful. Which is fantastic if you have small children, like I do! :)
